Warranty Information
What you can expect when you receive your scooter.
All SCOOTSMART™ scooters come with a standard 12-month warranty. This 12-month warranty is a full parts exchange warranty.
If a covered part breaks while the scooter is under warranty, you must contact us to file a warranty claim using the Warranty Claim Form and attaching a picture of the broken part. A customer service representative will give you the address of our customer service center and instructions on how to ship us the broken part. You must pay for the shipment of the broken part to our service center. When we receive the broken part, we will ship you a replacement part free of charge.
SCOOTSMART™ makes every effort to ensure that products are free of defects or damages before shipment from the warehouse. Please inspect your new scooter immediately upon receipt. Note that plastic parts (color coordinated housings, etc.) are not covered by the warranty. It is therefore imperative that goods received damaged are reported immediately so that the appropriate claim may be submitted to the shipping carrier. Minor scratches caused from shipping and handling or "blems" are not considered replaceable damage as they do not affect the functionality of the scooter, moped, and motorcycle. In the event that replacement part is needed, we will only ship items free of charge to the original shipping address.
Why do you need my part?
We need your part for several reasons.
- We need to verify your replacement part is the correct one to send to you.
- We require the part back so we may monitor defective parts.
- We need to verify that your part is in fact defective. Many times we receive parts that are not defective at all.
- Items under warranty must send parts back to get free exchanges.
REPAIRED COMPONENTS:

COVERAGE AND LIMITATIONS:
scooters are shipped out 95% assembled. We recommend you have a professional mechanic (any small engine repair shop, motorcycle shop, or local auto repair shop) assemble your new motorized vehicle to assure it's in good working condition. We will give you authorization to assemble your scooter without voiding the warranty if you have mechanical ability and can demonstrate that over the phone. Subject to the limitations stated in this agreement, SCOOTSMART™ agrees (at its sole discretion and election) to replace a covered component if the covered component fails as a result of one or more of the internal lubricated parts within the component stated warranty period from the date of purchase, while the component is being used under the conditions and in the manner specified by its original manufacturer. Warranty does not extend to those items identified as standard "wear and tear" items ( belts, tires, or batteries, etc...). Warranty also does not extend to plastic parts, or panel including color coordinated housings.
